The Identity Guys

The Identity Guys was a formed project of two individuals who set out into the design world using their respective talents and knowledge. What it has become is probably one of the biggest on-going projects we have yet found challenging. Branding is the result of a well thought out formulated plan. Our main goal is to brand, a company, a person, an identity.

The Logo

In it’s simplest form, a logo is meant to show you what this identity stands for. As an initial phase, we knew we had to start with the basics in order to mentally view what we were after. Many different forms of the logo were thought out:

Next process was to choose a design and go forth with working on making that one design work using different variations.

As we already knew our color scheme, it was easier to break down the colors of the logo to be used. We decided to go with a “lime” themed design used along with the traditional black, grey, and white to portray a contemporary design theme.

The final logo was finally chosen as the basis of our identity.

The Website

The design for the website was to be something that was simple, clean, and to the point about what The Identity Guys  are about.  The imagery of the lime was used throughout different sections of the website. Check out the site: theidentityguys.com/v1

Updated: As our slogan is “WHO is your business?” we decided to go ahead and acquire that as a domain in order to start closing the gap between our identity. Check it out: whoisyourbusiness.com

Homepage

The homepage showed a small blurb about the company without too much information. We wanted the user to be able to come to the site and view it more for the design then to be reading a lot of text. “Who is your business?” is about the client understanding their identity and how it is different from others.

The three major sections of the portfolio were web design, print design, and multimedia. A pop-up window would show the different items in each category.
